Our due date for the baby was April 2, but she wasn't having any of that. On the morning of April 7, the Doctors decided to induce Amy's pregnancy. It's a slow process, and we spent the first day and night in the delivery room, waiting for something to happen.
At around 10:30am on Friday after a long night, Amy's body was finally getting ready to push out a baby. We had a solid two hours of pushing, and while I got a little woozy at the beginning of this process, we focused on what we were there for - getting out a new little girl. It took 2 hours, and at 12:41, a baby was born.
This is Dr Gould, the Dr that helped deliver the baby. He had a real Doogie Howser thing going on - much younger than either of us. He knew what he was doing though, and he fixed Amy up after getting the baby out.

The baby was cleaned up by the nursing staff right away. Amy's mom came in and helped out. She was 7lb 1oz, 19".
We're finally home, and very happy to be here. Here's Katherine, sleeping on our bed at home after a good meal. She's covering her face up with her little gloved hands.
There will be many, many more pictures of her posted here soon.
