Katie makes her play

Only to have the cat deftly avoid being touched.

Baby in training

Drew is teaching Katie the intricacies of Bey Blades.

Mommy wins again!

Crawling, not napping

Once again, Katie works on honing her crawling skills instead of sleeping.

Drew's koala family

From raising $100 for his class, Drew (among other things), received a $2.50 gift certificate to the school store, only open Fridays. Today, Drew redeemed all $2.50 for five little koala figures, $0.50 each. The grey one in the center is King Koala. His name is Dave. King Dave. Interestingly, the other two grey ones are also Dave. The tan ones are Katie. Yes, both are named Katie. Because they're almost as cute as his baby sister. King Dave's wife apparently died today. (Seriously!) Drew is now scouting for a treehouse for them.

She REALLY wants to drive.

Bahloon

She wont let go. She's completely obsessed. Meanwhile, it keeps hitting me in the head.

I cant quite reach...

Belly girl

Finally, realization that a nap will happen.

So sad.

Seriously, what is this nap thing?

She's taken to traversing her crib. Oy. At least she's in a good mood.

Nap?

I don't know the meaning of the word. But I do know cute!

Sippy cup!

The pediatrician told me that she should start sippy cups soon, so I bought one. She's intrigued. She hasn't figured out that she has to tilt way up, but she likes to play with it. When I hold it for her, she takes sips. And makes faces. She hasn't acquired a taste for watered down apple juice yet.

Woohoo

A faucet that doesn't leak!!! Yay!!!

First book, first owie

Her pediatrician gave her this book and she has been completely obsessed with it since. If she sees it, she demands to have it and cries if she doesn't get it. Playing with it today, she brought it down on her own foot, causing a cut on her left big toe, thus the bandaid on her foot. It was the smallest I could find in the house. I suppose I should stock up on smaller bandaids.

Sleeper

Katie and I had nice long naps this afternoon. Over two and a half hours! Apparently we needed them!

Quality inspector

Blankey

She's become attached to this blanket I got months before she was born. It's fuzzy on one side, crisp on the other. She won't be dragging it everywhere, but she can have it for naps.

Success!

I don't know why she had to press her face against the side of the cosleeper, though...

No, really, mommy...

...I don't need a nap!

Uh, yeah...not a nap, per se...

But she is working on the crawling technique...in the crib. Sigh.

Pretzel success!

Katie + pretzel

= half hour of entertainment, at least!

Tired baby

She was cooped up in the afternoon supervising her brother's homework, so we went for a walk after he left for soccer. She lasted half an hour and fell asleep three blocks before home. So sad she has to wake up!

Kind of confused

She scooted five feet backwards and is a bit unclear how she ended up here...

Pumpkin patch!

The kids are just so darn cute. And who doesn't love pumpkins? It almost feels like an ad for pumpkins. I mean, don't you just feel compelled to go get some, now?
