Obsessed

Amy's cousin is spoiling Drew rotten. He got one transformer today, and picked out another for his grad party later. She also tried teaching Drew to swear, and we had to intervene.

Yes you can...sew?

Barack Obama fabric. The tasteless possibilities are endless.

Bootleg transformers?

Atomic burninators

Holy carp fish, these are hot now. We made them about 2 months ago, and for the first few jars, I could pretty much chow down the entire jar. Now they're so hot, about 5 beans send me to the drinks. I'm pretty sure the next jar we open will be inedible.

Waiting for daddy to show up to bed.

My coworker today...sleeping on the job

I'm working from home today, and after putting up some kitty deterrents, a.k.a. double-sided tape, on my chair, she settled for curling up at my feet under the desk.

Churros

Drew is enjoying taco bell churros. I'm not sure if the picture shows it, but his mouth and hands are covered in cinnamon and sugar.

Not cute anymore

I was awoken this morning by a cat crawling across my chest and purring loudly. I petted her for a while, and it only made the purring louder. I was hoping that it would wake Amy up so she'd get in the shower and I could roll over and get a few more minutes of sleep, but that didn't work.
Anyway, to the point - the cat isn't cute anymore. When we got her in May, she was 1lb 4oz of stubby kitten with short legs and big eyes. Now, she's a slinky, lanky cat with a fat belly. She's still short of full cat size, but last time we weighed her, she was breaking 3lbs. She's been eating like a pig and I wouldn't be at all surprised if she broke 4lb next time we weighed her.
So, she's not cute anymore, but she is remotely handsome, in her own way. Maybe it's the eyeliner, or the way I've taught her to eat the spiders and flies that make their way into the house that makes her endearing enough that we keep her. It's certainly not the daily attacks to my ankles and feet that she's so fond of.
I could promise that I'm done posting about the stupid cat, but that's probably a lie.

Change Control and Release Processes

Dear Google,

I appreciate your making improvements all the time and doing things on your own that you think are cool. Can you please push your releases at odd times of the day/week, like normal companies? In the middle of the day on a Wednesday is very stressful. The code push tends to lock things up and make some of us freak out. Please consider doing it on...oh, midnight Friday's or something random like that?

Thanks a ton!
Amy

p.s. I do like the new location of the labels. I just didn't appreciate not knowing what the **** was going on with my email while you were code pushing and the interface went wacky.

She hissed a lot, but we're now good friends.

I invented food

A tuna relish of my own invention - spicy pineapple cilantro. It was awesome.
